EXPLORE: Road Trip 2017 – Cleveland Rocks!

Onward for Summer Road Trip 2017! Next stop: Cleveland! I had a rockin’ time in Cleveland with my best friend! We enjoyed a lot of music history at the Rock Hall, drinks on East 4th Street, and (as always) tons of food.

Day 1 – Travel Day and East 4th Street

We started out the day by driving through New York and Pennsylvania. On our way to Ohio, we stopped for a fast food lunch and a quick picture in front of the state sign.

After we got checked into our hotel, we went out to East 4th Street in search of beers and dinner. We ate at an Irish Pub and then walked around and enjoyed a few drinks on a rooftop patio.

Day 2 – Rock Hall and Hard Rock

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

The next morning we packed up and headed over to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We spent hours making our way through the exhibits and saw everything from Johnny Cash’s desk to Jimmy Hendrix’s guitars to Lady Gaga’s stage clothes.

The Rock Hall was so awesome! I’ve been wanting to go for years and loved every moment of it. I even dug the gift shop. They had everything from kitschy souvenirs to stylish clothing and, my personal favorite, cheap sunglasses.

After the Rock Hall, we decided it was time to eat some lunch. What better place to go than the Hard Rock Cafe?! We had to drive out of town a little ways to get to the restaurant, which ended up being a casino.

After lunch, we had to hit the road again. My time in Cleveland was super short but we had such an amazing time!

After our day in Cleveland, we arrived in Indianapolis, ready for a new adventure!

NEXT STOP: BBQ and Kissing the Bricks in Indianapolis

I had such an amazing time in Cleveland! I hope it’s on your destination list, especially if you love music as much as I do. Save travels!
