Check out these recipes to create your own easy BBQ spread! All you need is a crockpot or set of three to get started and the ingredients provided in the following recipes. Let’s cook!

Main Course: Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 (4 pound) pork shoulder roast
  • 1 cup barbeque sauce
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 extra large onion, chopped
  • 2 large cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 8 hamburger buns, split
  • 2 tablespoons butter, or as needed

Directions

  1. Pour the vegetable oil into the bottom of a slow cooker. Place the pork roast into the slow cooker; pour in the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chicken broth. Stir in the brown sugar, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, onion, garlic, and thyme. Cover and cook on High until the roast shreds easily with a fork, 5 to 6 hours.
  2. Remove the roast from the slow cooker, and shred the meat using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker, and stir the meat into the juices.
  3. Spread the inside of both halves of hamburger buns with butter. Toast the buns, butter side down, in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown. Spoon pork into the toasted buns.

Side: Slow Cooker Baked Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 baking potatoes, well scrubbed
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • kosher salt to taste
  • 4 sheets aluminum foil

Directions

  1. Prick the potatoes with a fork several times, then rub potatoes with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, and wrap tightly in foil. Place the potatoes into a slow cooker, cover, and cook on High for 4 1/2 to 5 hours, or on Low for 7 1/2 to 8 hours until tender.

I like the top my baked potato with butter, sour cream, cheddar cheese, and bacon bits!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup hickory-flavored barbeque sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 3 (14.5 ounce) cans great Northern beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 4 ounces cooked ham, diced

Directions

  1. Mix BBQ sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard together in a 4-quart slow cooker until smooth. Stir beans, green bell pepper, onion, and ham into BBQ sauce mixture.
  2. Cook beans on Low for 8 to 12 hours until thick.

Dessert: Crock Pot Cherry Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 2 (21 ounce) cans cherry pie filling
  • 1 (18 1/4 ounce) packages yellow cake mix, dry
  • 1/4 cup butter, soften
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Pour pie filling into 5 qt crock pot; spread evenly.
  2. In a large bowl, combine dry cake mix with butter until it is crumbly.
  3. Sprinkle cake mix over pie filling.
  4. Sprinkle with nuts.
  5. Turn on crock pot to low and cover and cook 3-4 hours.
  6. Serve warm.
